Pueblo Mtn Park - Tower Trail
The Tower trail climbs up to an old fire tower with a great view of the Beulah valley and a window towards Pueblo. This trail also connects up with other trails within the park,.
The Tower trail is well defined and maintained with mixed surfaces of soil, rock, decomposed granite winding up through grassland and forest. There are several places to stop and take in views of the Beulah Valley and east towards Pueblo and the eastern plains. The trail has some open rock areas that can get quite sun-baked, but also has some shady draws that allow some relief. There are a multitude of bird species throughout the year and wildflowers spring and summer.
This trail also connects up to the Mace Trail and thus other trails within the park to make loops, or the Ranger Trail leading into the San Isabel National Forest.
