Windy Point Trail - Dillon Reservoir
This easy and short hike starts from the Prospect Campground day parking lot to Dillon Reservoir and along Windy Point. It offers wonderful views of the reservoir, and the Gore and Ten-Mile ranges. It is a hiking-only trail.
Windy Point is a small peninsula on Dillon Reservoir. The hike begins at the hiking area of the Prospect Campground. There is a short trail to the west through the campground to west side of the point. The trail follows the lake along the shore for 1.3 miles where it ends at a private picnic shelter. The option is to return to the parking area on trails through the campground or as an out-and back - the distance is about the same.
