Hiking – Rolling Creek Trail

Reached the saddle, which was our goal. Everyone crossed the various water crossings without incident. We had a really good day. Even the weather cooperated, sending a cool breeze to offset the hot sun. And very few clouds.

  • Road rough but passable

  • Creek still flowing high but down from a few weeks ago.  Water crossings passable.  Lost the trail in a few places for 5-10 feet but always found it again.  Cows in arera brought flies and retreating water brought mosquitoes but breeze helped.  There are downed trees across the path all up and down the trail.  Have been reported in the past.  None impassable.

Good day.  Everyone kept the pace, climbed well, crossed the creek well.
