4-8 inches of loose snow that was pretty walkable. Half the group used winter traction and half did not.
We enjoyed an incredible last day of 2022 hike in snowy forest and open fields while enjoying the views. Crystal clear air let us have vista views of the nearby mountains and Black Forest trails to the south. Light winds and 34-degrees at the start, during our 3-hour hike it warmed up to 45 and the snow was getting sticky and wet as we finished up.
