Walton Peak
Backcountry skied into Walton Peak base from parking lot off Rabbit Ears Pass. Good snow, pleasant weather!

There was a decent base for this time of season, and about 4-6" of fresh powder; however, the base was not deep enough to ski off trial yet, with too many hidden obstacles (i.e. timber downfall). The steep section of the trail just before reaching Walton Peak was pretty scraped off and icy; survival skiing down for sure! Good snow up on the peak itself, but slightly crunchy underneath the shallow powder.
