The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed program (ACS Stop the Bleed) offers a comprehensive training course designed to teach individuals how to control severe bleeding in emergencies. The course focuses on three key techniques:
- Applying pressure to a wound
- Packing a wound to control bleeding
- Applying a tourniquet to stop bleeding
This training empowers individuals to act quickly and effectively in life-threatening bleeding emergencies, teaching them the essential techniques to control severe bleeding, potentially saving lives.
