This is a comprehensive training course designed to teach individuals how to control severe bleeding in emergencies, developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS)

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed program (ACS Stop the Bleed) offers a comprehensive training course designed to teach individuals how to control severe bleeding in emergencies. The course focuses on three key techniques:

  • Applying pressure to a wound
  • Packing a wound to control bleeding
  • Applying a tourniquet to stop bleeding

This training empowers individuals to act quickly and effectively in life-threatening bleeding emergencies, teaching them the essential techniques to control severe bleeding, potentially saving lives.

Meeting time and place: 6:30-8:00pm, CMC Basecamp
