Compass Montessori Afterschool: Rock Climbing - Tuesdays - Fall 2026

Youth & Climbing Program

Afterschool Program

Calling all Compass students! Join us on Tuesdays after school for 12 weeks at the Colorado Mountain Club in Golden. Each week, students will participate in a different climbing curriculum and learn safety commands, climbing knots, movement and technique, as well as belaying! Our skilled instructors create a safe and supportive environment where first-time climbers and experienced climbers alike can learn new skills, push their limits, and gain confidence on the wall. Our indoor rock wall is the perfect place to improve your skills and learn new ones. With routes ranging from slabs to overhangs at all grade levels, a challenge can be found for every climber. Participants will also have the opportunity to climb in our bouldering bus! This after-school program offers students a fun, active, and productive way to spend a few hours after school and will prepare participants to sign up for our outdoor climbing camps and courses held regularly during school breaks. Been in our after-school climbing program before? No problem! Our instructors are prepared to meet students where they are in their climbing journey, and we will have new curriculum for returning students. So, get ready to gear up, tie in, and have some fun with us after school starting this fall! Transportation is provided for all participants. Our instructors will pick up students from both compass Montessori Golden and Wheat Ridge campuses in one of our 15-passenger vans and transport them to the Colorado Mountain Club in Golden for each session.
