Golden Gate Girls - March 2026

Youth Program

Golden Gate Girls Overnight

Join the CMC Youth Programs Internship Cohort for an overnight, early spring, girls trip to Golden Gate Canyon State Park! During the program we hope to connect young women to the outdoors, empower them, and facilitate connections.

Designed for girls between the ages of 12-18, the Golden Gate Girls Trip blends outdoor adventure with community, mentorship, and empowerment, hosted by the CMC Teen Internship Cohort.
One this two-day, one-night trip, participants will hike about four miles to cabins in Golden Gate Canyon State Park and participate in lessons relating to Leave No Trace Principals, Wilderness First Aid, Route finding, Introduction to Ecology, Backcountry Cooking, Yoga, Nature Water coloring, and team building.
Before the trip, there will be a pre-trip meeting from 6:30-8:30 pm at CMC Basecamp on Tuesday, March 10th. This meeting will cover the trip more in depth and prepare participants with the right materials and knowledge from 6:30-7:30 pm. 7:30-8:30 pm will feature a panel of amazing women in the outdoors; the panel is open to the public, not just participants. This camp is ideal for teen girls looking to build confidence, make lasting friendships in the outdoors, and expand their knowledge of nature.
