Join CMC Youth Programs for a day of applied math and science that brings the classroom into the outdoors! Students will rotate through three stations that focus on real-world applications of math and physics in the outdoors. (This offering could supplement Math and/or Science classes)
- Who: Students in Middle and High School
- When: Tuesday, December 9th, 10am-1pm
- What: Physics of Climbing, Orienteering, Indoor Avalanche Science
- Where: CMC Basecamp (15605 W 32nd Ave, Golden CO 80401)
- Cost: $30/non-member participant, $25/member participant
Registration Guidelines:
- All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to participate.
- All participants must have an adult chaperone. Only one adult chaperone per group is needed. (for example, if you are transporting 4 participants, you can act as the adult chaperone for all 4 participants)
Adult chaperones are responsible for:
- Knowing of any allergies and handling any medications the participants may need during the program.
- Handle outlying behavioral issues that detract from the activity
- Listen to and reinforce safety guidelines outlined by instructors
- Supervise lunch and transitions during the day
