Basic Alpine Climb – Garden of the Gods - South Gateway Rock

This trip is for students who have recently completed the PPG BMS Basic Rock Scrambling Course. We'll expand upon what you learned in the first field trip, will introduce more exposure, and will familiarize you with scrambling protection and belaying. Students will need all the required equipment.

Required:  certified climbing helmet, and ten essentials.

Recommend:  scrambling/approach shoes, work gloves, alpine harness, locking carabiner, personal anchor system, and prussic cord
