We’ll camp for two nights in the tent only, Crags Campground in State Forest State Park. Camp is at 10,000ft elevation which means it should be cool even in July but make sure you are comfortable sleeping at this elevation. Leader has reserved adjacent campsites to accommodate our group. Two magnificent hikes are planned which start directly from the campground:
American Lakes: Approx. 6 miles and 1,400ft elevation gain.
Lake Agnes: Approx. 7 miles and 950ft elevation gain.
Participants will share the cost of the campsites (approx. $30 pp) – details provided nearer the time. If you are interested please send an email to lcampbellblair@hotmail.com BEFORE registration opens so I can determine if this is the right trip for you.
Leader will contact participants about 2 weeks before departure to review the Trip Plan and final details.
Meeting place and time will be provided nearer the time. We will plan on carpooling to camp. Each car will need a Colorado State Parks Pass (aka Keep Colorado Wild Pass.)
