Hiking – Brookside-McCurdy Trail
This will be a hike unless there is significant snow to require snowshoes. Begin at the Twin Eagles trail head and ascend 1000 ft on the Brookside McCurdy Trail to Lizard Rock. One way is 3.5 miles. This will be a challenging but beautiful snowshoe if there is enough snow. As a hike, it should be moderately strenuous.

It can be quite cold in the shade of the mountains. Please bring hand warmers and wear clothing to stay warm. Much of the hike will be in the sun but significant portions are in the shade.
Meet at The Fort pullout near Morrison (19192 CO-8, Morrison, CO 80465) at 7 A.M.
We travel south on 285 to Jefferson and turn on CO 77 ( Terryall Road). Twin Eagles Trail Head is 26 miles from Jefferson. Total mileage is 150 miles round trip from The Fort.
