Hiking – Capitol Reef National Park

This will be a loop hike on a couple of trails just outside of Capitol Reef National Park. We will hike upstream on a trail that goes along the upper reaches of Sulphur Creek, We will cross over to the Crooks Mesa Trail and loop back to our starting point.

Note: This hike is only open to those registered for WSG's Capitol Reef/Torrey multiday hiking event. To register for the 10/9-12 event you are committing to hike at least 10/10 & 10/11 with optional hikes 10/9 & 10/12 travel days.  Email WSGofCMC@gmail.com.

We will hike upstream on a trail goes along the upper reaches of Sulphur Creek, We will cross over to the Crooks Mesa Trail and loop back to our starting point.  More than one CMC trip leader is scheduled to participate in this hike.  If any hike participants wish to return to the trailhead without completing the entire loop hike that will likely be an option.

You must be signed up for the WSG multi-day Capitol Reef National Park trip. Leader approval required to ensure that only trip attendees register.  We will meet at the Wayne County Visitor Center in Torrey, Utah at 9:00 AM.  We will carpool to the trailhead.
