Hiking – Crater Lakes
This is a Moderate hike along the South Boulder Creek to the Lower Crater Lakes which includes some nice views of the James Peak Wilderness area. The first ~3 miles will gain 1,400 feet in elevation; the back half will be an easy return to the parking lot.

Meet 8am at the South Boulder Creek trailhead parking lot which is on Co Rd 16, Nederland, CO 80466.
Carpool info: Meet 6:45am at the Golden Gate Canyon Parking lot. This lot is located west of the intersection with route 93 in Golden. Departure at 6:55 am. The drive to the GGSP entrance is 36 miles - approx. 1 hour.
