Hiking – DeCaLiBron Loop
Four 14ers in a single day (okay, really three, Cameron doesn't "count"). This will be a challenging hike in the heat of the summer. This hike will offer expansive views of the neighboring peaks in the Mosquito Range and beyond.

Please note, this route crosses private property. You MUST sign the waiver prior to the hike, otherwise you will be considered to be trespassing. There is a sign with a QR code on the trail that will also direct you to the waiver, but if you don't have service, you could be out of luck.
We will spend a lot of time above treeline in the summer sun, with lots of elevation gain. This is a difficult hike at high altitude. Please be respectful of other participants and do not sign up if this is outside of your abilities, or if you haven't been at high elevation yet this year. CMC hikes are a team sport. We finish together or turn around together.
We will meet at Alma City Park at 0600 for a 0615 departure to the Kite Lake Trailhead.
I would highly recommend you stay in the Alma, Fairplay, or Breckenridge area the night before. However, if you want to make your life more difficult:
Carpools from Denver: Suggested carpool meeting location Twin Forks Park and Ride at 0430 for a 0440 departure to arrive at the meeting location in Alma by 0600.
Carpools from Colorado Springs: Suggested carpool meeting location Safeway in Old Colorado City at 0410 for a 0420 departure to arrive at the meeting point in Alma by 0600.
If there's time and desire, we'll grab a frosty beverage at Highside Brewing in Fairplay post-hike.
Required Equipment
Ten essentials. Bring at least 3 liters of water and extra nutrition, this will be a long hard day.
