Hiking – Intemann Trail

This will be a moderately paced out-and-back hike beginning at Mesa Park and climbing to the summit of Iron Mountain before continuing toward Manitou Springs. Expect a sustained ascent early in the hike, followed by rolling terrain along scenic ridgelines with sweeping views. Trails are generally rocky and uneven with some steeper sections. Trekking poles may be helpful, particularly on the descent. Participants should be comfortable hiking on rugged singletrack and prepared with adequate water, sun protection, and layers for changing mountain conditions. For those interested, we'll have the option to gather for lunch afterward at Crystal Park Cantina in Manitou Springs.

We’ll meet at 8am.  Meeting place will be communicated prior to the trip.  Depending on the number of participants, we may meet close by and carpool to the trailhead due to limited parking.
