Hiking – IPW - Brainard Ridge
From the east end of Long Lake, the route ascends steeply though forest to the ridge. Then it ascends on solid talus to the high point. The descent is on the Blue Lake side, with the return on the Blue Lake trail. This is not a climb of Little Pawnee Peak.

We'll have to cross the Blue Lake outlet stream, which is shallow but may require wading.
Boulder area people will meet at the Four Mile Creek TH, 420 Lee Hill Rd, at 7:00. Denver area people will meet at 304 10th St. in Golden at 6:40. We'll all meet together at the Brainard winter lot, which is just before the entrance station, at around 8:00
