Hiking – Matthew Winters Park - Dakotah Ridge Loop

Join us for a steep uphill out-and-back hike. We will have just returned from two months at sea level and this is one of our go-to hikes for re-acclimation to Colorado hiking. Better with friends!

We'll follow the Red Rocks or Cherry Gulch Trail through the park towards the Amphitheater, eventually following the Red Rocks Trail down to cross Hwy 93, toward the Hogback.  Then follow the switchbacks to the top of the ridge and follow the ridge north enjoying great views along the way eventually heading down the hill, crossing the highway to return to the parking lot.
