We'll meet at the TJmaxx parking lot in Silverthorne at 6:20am to carpool (departing promptly at 6:30am). Due to the lack of cell service at the trailhead and need for a high clearance vehicle I discourage trying to meet at the trailhead. The trailhead is a little over 1 hr drive away.
This hike is above treeline. It is important that participants are able to hike at a 2.5mile pace at this altitude and with this elevation gain so that we can return to the trailhead by 1pm.
For any coming from the front range I'll try to help organize a carpool spot for you depending on who signs up.
When you sign up please let me know if you have a high clearance vehicle that you can drive. I'll be riding with my coleader Steve Thompson who can take 2 more. If we don't get enough high clearance vehicles I will need to cut back the attendees in your signup order.
Since the drive is fairly long please be prepared to reimburse the drivers according to CMC guidelines.
