Hiking – Meyer Ranch Park - Legault Mountain
This hike is for RMOTHG members only. If you enjoy the challenge of steep, no exposure scrambling, and need a bit more time to do it safely, this is the hike for you. We will hike up Sunny Aspen Trail to Old Ski Run Trail to the informal route to the top of Legault Mountain. We’ll enjoy the view from the top and return via the same route.

We'll hike up Sunny Aspen Trail to Old Ski Run Trail to the informal route to the top of Legault Mountain. The on trail portion of the hike is about 2.1 miles one way, 4.2 miles RT. The on trail elevation gain is about 1000'. From where the informal trail starts, it's about .5 miles and about 300' to the top, with the last part being where it gets steep and has a little bit of scrambling. We’ll enjoy the view from the top and head back down to have lunch in the saddle where the informal route rejoins the maintained trail, then return via the same route.

An email will be sent to participants the day before the hike with weather forecast, mileage, etc.
We will meet at the Fort Restaurant at 7:50 to arrange carpools for 8:00am departure. The Fort is located at 19192 CO-8, Morrison, CO 80462.
