Hiking – North Pole Basin
Infrequently visited pristine basin NE of Schoefield Pass, north of Crested Butte. Mountain Goats have been seen in the upper basin which is on the east side of Treasury Mountain.

We will hike up a road beyond the gate which restricts vehicle access. The road then turns into a trail with a gradual, but steady uphill climb into the basin. There is an opportunity to climb an unnamed 12, 500 peak on a grassy walk-up.
7:00 am at the Crested Butte Visitor Center. I will have a gecko green Jeep. 4WD needed to access the trailhead. Limited parking at the TH.
