Hiking – Orbital Trail - Segment 28

The DOT is a walking route that makes a full circle around Denver.  We will be hiking the final segment, Segment 28.  We will walk on the Fairmont Canal Trail through Long Lake Regional Park and over to North Table Mountain.  We then take the North Table Loop Trail around the side of the mountain.  The final piece is walking through a neighborhood to the Tucker Gulch Trail and then taking the Clear Creek Trail to Vanover Park.   

PLEASE NOTE that the trail coming off of North Table Mountain is fairly steep and that there is some scrambling involved.  The trip leader, Suzanne, has pictures and would be happy to help you assess if your skills and comfort level are a good fit for this trip.

There are bathrooms at the beginning and end.

This route is exploratory for the trip leaders. 

Optional Post-Hike celebration: This segment will complete Suzanne’s orbit.  She is planning on going to The Golden Mill, 1012 Ford St, Golden, CO 80401 after the hike to celebrate with ice cream and/or beer.  She would love to have you join her!

Carpool: Since the distance between trailheads is short and half of us will be driving, there will be no carpool cost sharing.
