Hiking – Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead - Ice Cave Creek Loop
This is a Bobcats hike. It is a loop hike from the Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead, up the Ice Cave Creek and Ice Cave Cliffs trails to a ridge, followed by a tour of the large boulder formations, including Cap Rock, where we will have some fun scrambling up some of the boulders. We will return via the Palmer Lake Upper Reservoir

This hike has some steep sections, lots of hiking on large rock formations, some uneven and some off-trail terrain, and some Class 2+ scrambling. So, make sure you have appropriate footwear.
This is a Bobcats trip. The Bobcats’ mission is to ensure a variety of adventurous CMC trips, mostly on weekdays, all year long. Our trips tend to be faster-paced, on more challenging routes, and with fewer stops. We foster a strong community of hikers seeking challenge, discovery, and camaraderie.
Meet at 7:15AM in the Cabela’s parking lot at Ridgegate and I-25 in Lone Tree, specifically in the northwest section of the parking lot near the Cabela's, so we can leave no later than 7:30AM. Here is a Google Maps link to Cabela’s: https://maps.app.goo.gl/geMbQkD1gyBfUKd99 .
We will be using the Palmer Lake Trailhead in the town of Palmer Lake. Here is a link to the trailhead in Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Dvo9CPJbqx357Qqb6 . Note that there is a $5 fee to park at this trailhead, unless you are a Palmer Lake resident.
