Welcome to Rise & Grind, the CMC Boulder Group’s morning hiking and coffee series. Our objective is to start our day off right with some exercise, good company and a little mindfulness. In addition to the hike itself, we’ll pause on the summit for a moment of silent reflection and set our intentions for the day. Afterward there will be an optional stop for coffee, symbolizing a fresh start and the energy needed to conquer the day.
This morning's Rise & Grind will hike a loop circiling South Boulder Creek West, Dowdy Draw and Community Ditch. The route will ascend approximately 460 feet over 6.8 miles round trip. The trip should take between two and three hours.
Please note, while this will be a easy/moderate hike, it is not designed to be a beginner trip. This will be a before-work hike for some participants, so it’s important that we maintain our pace and finish promptly so folks can get to work on time. Please be considerate of the rest of the group by knowing your abilities and ensuring you can meet the trip objectives (including distance, elevation gain and pace) before registering.
