After leaving the Wooly Mammoth CDOT PNR, we'll drive to the trailhead. Plan on overnight camping at the Stewart Creek trailhead. We'll get an alpine start to San Luis Peak.

We'll meet at 9:00am at the Wooly Mammoth CDOT Parn-N-Ride, Section BB, 18560 US Highway 40, Golden, CO 80401. After forming carpools, we'll travel the 5-hours and 200-miles to the Stewart Creek trailhead. High clearance AWD vehicles required! Bring cash to reimburse driver for carpool expense.

Ten essentials. We'll car camp at the Stewart Creek trailhead, begin with an alpine start, and complete the 13.5-mile hike by 2:00pm.
