Hiking – Section 16 Trailhead - Palmer Loop
A dog-friendly, easy 6-mile amble through the foothills above the west side of Colorado Springs. After topping out on the steepest portion we'll check out the overlook. Optional social get together for coffee/food after.

Have traction ready if there's snow and ice. Dogs must stay leashed because we'll share the trail with many runners, bikers and other hikers.
Meet at the Section 16 trailhead at 8:15 a.m. for an 8:30 a.m. start. This parking lot fills up quickly on the weekend but there is an overflow area down the road towards Bear Creek and additional parking where High Drive meets Lower Gold Camp and Bear Creek (and that is the far end of the loop).
