Hiking – Sheep Mountain

We follow a trail up an old, winding mining road through aspen trees. Above tree line the route follows older mining paths dotted with mining remnants.  

Above tree line, as we approach the summit push, we climb up talus fields to the top. The views are expansive in every direction.

You must be comfortable climbing up and down moderately steep talus fields.

Preferential registration given to people on the Annapurna Base Camp trip. 

We will meet in Fairplay, CO at the Sinclair station at 8:00 am. We will car pool from there to the Horseshoe Campground where trail starts.  

We will arrange car pools from Denver to Fairplay if needed.
