Sheep Mountain

Not to be confused with other Sheep Mountains, this 12,397 foot peak is south of Pikes Peak, in Teller County.

Sheep Mountain is a broad peak rising almost due south of Pikes Peak in Teller County. The mountain is surrounded by numerous reservoirs serving the Pikes Peak region. The scenery along the summit plateau is very reminiscent of the Lost Creek Wilderness Peaks, specifically Bison Peak, but a bit closer to home for residents of the Colorado Springs area.
