Stratton Open Space is a 300 acre jewel on Colorado Springs westside. Numerous trails dissect the park and we will travel several of them, rising steeply to top out at an overlook on Goldcamp Road. After a break to enjoy the view we'll descend through the ponderosa pine/gambel oak forest and loop back to our starting point.

These trails can be alternately icy and muddy so have traction devices. Trail etiquette dictates going through mud and not around to prevent trail braiding.

This hike is primarily for Pikes Peak Group members. Others will be added to the waitlist and put on the roster if space is available.

Optional meeting for a bite and a cup of joe after for those interested.

Meet at the Ridgeway Avenue trailhead by 8:45 a.m. for an 9:00 start.
