RMOTHG Trip – Corral Creek to South Platte River
A very enjoyable 6-mile / 1400 ft elev-gain trek down to the South Platte River in Pike National Forest. We will hike down an old, and now closed off, 4wd road through the remnants of the 2002 Hayman Fire. Surrounded by huge and spectacular rock formations, we'll picnic at the river in a gorgeous valley before hiking the 1400 feet back up to the trailhead.
