RMOTHG Trip – Genesee Park - Geneses Mountain Park

Please join us as we circle Denver Mountain Park’s Genesee Park middle bison meadow. Your leader will be sure to invite the handsome bison herd to be grazing in the meadow but do know that they do have two other pastures to explore. Let’s hope they are in a social mood and wish to greet us. Our terrain will consist of rolling meadows with mountain views and pine forests. Parts of the trail are exposed so bring sun protection. The first part of the trail is a wide gravel road (great for visiting) and soon we'll join a mountain trail with a few roots and rocks. Please bring hiking poles if you normally use them. Bring your lunch which we can enjoy together at picnic tables adjacent to the parking lot. We will set a very casual pace…perfect for members who have been off the trail for a while and are ready to build up their stamina for summer hiking.

We will meet at the Patrick House Trailhead at 27460 Genesee Lane, Golden, CO 80401

Take I-70 West to Exit exit 253. Follow Moss Rock Rd. to the TH parking.
