RMOTHG Trip – Meyer Ranch Park -Sunny Aspen, Old Ski Run, Lodge Pole Loop
Another fun Meyer Ranch snowshoe or spike hike! Our pace will be "Casual Plus" - which means a steady pace and few stops. We will stop for clothing adjustments about 10 minutes up the trail (for 3-4 minutes) as well as near the high point of the hike (for 20-30 minutes, depending on weather) - and probably 1 short stop on the descent. Although technically classified as "Easy" this is a steady uphill climb for about 1.5 hrs with some steeper sections - so a good level of physical & aerobic fitness is important. Estimated round-trip time is 3 hours including breaks. Please feel free to contact trip leader with any questions or concerns you may have.

We should expect water ice sections and hard pack snow. Traction / Microspikes on footware is mandatory. Kahtoola recommended. Snowshoes might be needed. Leader will contact all trip participants the day before the hike with weather & trail conditions. Always be prepared for any winter conditions.

CHANGE: Not Meeting at The Fort.
Meeting Place Change: We'll meet at 9:00 am just west of the intersection of 470 and Morrison Rd. and carpool from there. After taking the Morrison exit of 470 head west towards Morrison and take the quick right, then another quick right into the dirt parking lot. Let me know if you'd rather just meet in the Meyer Ranch parking lot.
Required Equipment
Traction / Microspikes on footware is mandatory. Poles are recommended. Snowshoes TBD based on trail conditions.
