Rock Climb – Friday Climbing - Staunton State Park

This is not a class and all participants should have the knowledge, either through a CMC class or personal experience, to safely complete these activities.

Thursday night climbing is moving to Fridays this year to allow for more flexibility in the types and length of climbs. Initially, we will have the first 3-4 climbs in Colorado Springs area. We will move to more regional venues like Turkey Rock, Shelf Road, and other climbs. Lastly, we will be doing full day multi pitch to destination climbing areas. We will do fairly easy multi pitch climbs in the 5.6-5.9 range and likely hit the classics. Those who have participated throughout the year will be given priority for multi pitch climbs.

We will be driving about an hour and half to Staunton State Park for some excellent sport climbing.  Specifically we will going to the Tan Corridor and climbing some of the classic routes.

For those wanting to carpool, we will meet at 415 West Rockrimmon at 8am or climbers can meet us at the trailhead or the crag.

Bring a lunch and plenty of hydration in addition to your climbing gear.
