Because we live in Colorado, rock climbing season is anytime!
The current weather forecast calls for a high of 50 degrees which is usually ok in Shelf. If forecast changes, we might need to reschedule.
The plan is to climb Piggy Bank's moderate routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.10. Participants must know how to belay and have CMC badge. Lead climbing is encouraged for those with a lead climbing CMC badge. We will need a few experienced lead belayers for this area.
Let's meet at the Safeway located at 38.805473,-104.823169 at 8:30 am. We can carpool from there to The Bank day use parking.
Required Equipment
Basic climbing kit including harness, helmet, climbing shoes, belay device, locker carabiners. Bring a dynamic rope, quad, draws if you have them. We can confirm group gear based on total number of participants and available gear.
