This is a challenging trip to attempt Wetterhorn and Uncompahgre peaks in one trip.
The plan is to drive up Sunday afternoon to Matterhorn trailhead. Try to climb both peaks on Monday, starting with Wetterhorn 3rd class Southeast ridge route. Depending on progress and endurance, Uncompahgre would be attempted the same day or on Tuesday by 2nd class Southwest route. This is only a plan, this may change depending circumstances.
Participants needs to be able to cover long distances with significant elevation and solidly scramble 3rd class sections.

Required Equipment
Appropriate clothing for multi-day trip, rain/wind gear. Need sturdy boots for bushwhacking and scrambling - approach shoes are discouraged. Helmet, seat harness, prussik and few carabiners, headlamps, hiking pole(s).
Ten essentials (minus campfire making tools).
Sleeping gear for camping or sleep in car, sufficient food/drink and gear to stay out for 2.5 days.
