Betasso Preserve

Mountain vistas, views of golden plains, scenic trails, diverse habitats, and a rich heritage make Betasso Preserve a favorite destination in the foothills right outside of Boulder.

Boulder County Open Space park popular with both hikers and bikers.  If you are a biker, keep in mind, Wednesdays and Saturdays are hiker-only.  The park consists of two loops- the Benjamin loop (2.4 miles) and the Canyon loop (3.3 miles) connected to each other with the loop link trail (0.8 miles).  For mountain biking, riders are required to ride the loops in a counter clockwise fashion.  To extend your ride you can start in boulder canyon and hike or ride up the Betasso link trail that connects the park with Boulder canyon and Colo. Hwy 119.
