BPX 2-Day: Aspenglen Campground (RMNP)

Suggested Backpacking Section (BPX) itinerary for 2-day trip to be used for CMC trips led by BPX leaders for BPX members.

Rocky Mountain National Park's 415 square miles encompass a spectacular range of mountain environments. A snowy wonderland with frozen lakes, snowy forests, and stunning views, there is something for everyone to discover.  Winter and spring are an especially spectacular time to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. Many hiking trails are covered with a blanket of snow from December through mid-May. From late May to early June, snow is beginning to melt, but can still be found on trails above 9,000 feet.  Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing are just a few of the winter activities that visitors can enjoy.

4. During the winter season (late Oct-late May), campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
5. A valid entrance fee or park pass is always required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
