BPX 2-Day: Staunton State Park

2-Day: Gear check with an evening hike in Staunton State Park

Suggested Backpacking Section (BPX) itinerary for 2-day trip to be used for CMC trips led by BPX leaders for BPX members:

Overnight camping/backpack/hike to check out your gear.

We will also have an optional evening or night hike under the full moon along Staunton Ranch Road to Elk Falls overlook.

Optional Day Hike: Elk Falls Overlook, 10.1 miles, +-1,657 ft.

NOTES:

  1. Always practice Leave No Trace techniques.

  4. All campsites at Staunton State Park are hike-in only. There is no RV camping at this time. The campsites are located between 180 to 799 yards from The Meadow parking lot. Fires or charcoal grills are not permitted in the campground. Propane, white gas, etc. stoves are allow in the campground.
