Cameron Pass

Cameron Pass sits on the continental divide where the Never Summer and Rawah Mountain Ranges meet, near the intersection of the Neota Wilderness and expansive Colorado State Forest State Park, and is also a starting point for day trips into lightly-visited northern regions of Rocky Mountain National Park.

The pass itself is located 70 miles west of Fort Collins, and 7 miles east of the Moose Visitor Center which is considered the gateway to North Park.  It is also marks the boundary between Larimer and Jackson Counties.  Sightings of moose, elk and other wildlife are common beneath the Nokhu Crags, Diamond Peaks and other distinctive summits.  Innumerable summer and winter destinations exist in all directions from the Pass and surrounding trailheads.

Note: If you access RMNP, know it restricts usage, parking, and entry depending on season and trailhead location. See the CMC Trip Planning Guide with a compact list of parking and entry requirements, alerts and closures, permitting, and general guidance. More general and contact information can be found at the RMNP website.
