Canyonlands Needles District
Canyonlands National Park, Needles District. is a scenic, low elevation area featuring colorful sandstone spires around the Needles District itself, along with nearby Bears Ears, adjacent BLM lands, and other nearby National Parks.
Canyonlands National Park is one of a several spectacular National Parks and Monuments in south-east Utah. Reservations are almost always required, well in advance, along with customary National Park entry and camping fees.
The Needles Visitor Center (+1-435-259-4711 )offers information, exhibits, book and map sales, backcountry permits, a picnic area, and park ranger advice. The park orientation movie (15 minutes) is available on demand. Water is available year-round. When the visitor center is closed in winter, you must self-register for backcountry permits outside the visitor center entrance.
Group campgrounds in the Needles District usually provide for a comfortable camper or tent spot, along with the availability of water, toilets, and plenty of room for the typically sized CMC group.
