Corral Creek Trail
Join this trail by crossing the Exit 190 bridge over I-70 from Shrine Mountain and Vail Pass Summit parking. It is popular for snow sports and hiking. It is possible to summit Uneva Peak from this trail. USFS #41.
The official TH is south of the Vail Pass exit, off the bike path under and between the the I-70 traffic lanes. (39.31222, -106.122988) It is easier to join the trail from the Exit 190 bridge (39.530136, -106.214282). You can avoid the Vail Hiking Pass Winter Fee if you can find a place to park on the north side of Exit 190, depending on snow plowing.
Moderate hike to begin then a steep loose gravel ascent to the top. Beautiful wildflower meadows in the summer. Continue to the top of the ridge for sweeping views. Stats reflect staying on visible trail. Opportunity to go further and off-trail, especially in winter, and If you go to Uneva Pass, Uneva Peak, or Lost Lake, you will enter the Eagles Nest Wilderness.
