Elk Meadow Park

The two entrances to the park are: Bergen Peak Drive TH or Stagecoach Boulevard TH. 

Bergen Peak via Elk Meadow: 10 miles, 2,200 feet of elevation gain

A nice loop by stringing a number of trails together throughout Elk Meadow Park. Start at the Elk Meadow and ascend in either a clockwise or counterclockwise fashion to complete a "loop" that includes a one mile spur, at the top, so as to reach the summit.

Please note that going "clockwise" around the loop takes you across a half mile of state wildlife lands. As such, a valid hunting or fishing license OR SWA pass is required for everyone 16 or older accessing this area. If not everyone has a license or pass the trip can be undertaken in a "counterclockwise" fashion, returning the same way from the summit, thus avoiding the state wildlife area. Returning from the summit in this fashion still results in about the same amount of distance and elevation gain.
