Hully Gully
Hully Gully is a good 2 pitch ice climb in the Colorado Springs area.
PARKING: Park 5 minutes walk downhill or 5 minutes walk uphill, where the road widens and not at the sharp turn where the trail is. It's too dangerous to park right at that turn due to low visibility from other drivers.
LOCATION DETAILS: Hully Gully is located off of Old Stage in Colorado Springs. The route begins to come in around November and is usually good until early Spring.
Trailhead coordinates are: N 38°46.7518’ W 104°52.3724’.
Anchor coordinates are: N 38°46.9094’ W 104°52.4063’.
ROUTE DESCRIPTON: This is a 2 pitch ice climb. The first pitch, is 40 or so feet. The second pitch is close to 110 feet. Top roping off the tree on the right of the 2nd pitch will allow for a 70m rope to barely reach the ground. The trail to the top of the route can be found by looking for boot and crampon marks heading downhill. It is a great place to take beginners to get a feel for steeper ice,
