IPW - Brainard Lake Rec Area - Mitchell Lake Trailhead
Brainard Lake Road is gated closed from mid-October to mid-June. During the summer months, a separate vehicle entry fee is required to drive through gate to the Mitchell Lake TH. Indian Peaks Wilderness Rules apply.
IPW restrictions for permits, parking, and entry vary by season and trailhead. Go here for current information. Day use only from May 1 through November 30. Organized groups require a separate permit. Maximum group size is 12. Camping requires a permit between December 1 and April 30.
