Kings Peak and South Kings Peak
Two 13'ers in Utah, including the Utah high point, over 13500 feet. A Class 2 climb and may require a backpack.
Kings Peak is located just south of the spine of the central Uinta Mountains. It lies within the boundaries of the High Uintas Wilderness. The Peak and surrounding areas are managed by Heber-Kamas, Salt Lake, and Evanston-Mountain View Ranger Districts, depending on the approach one chooses.
There are six possible routes to the summit, all detailed in SummitPost.
Henry’s Fork Trail is the most popular route. The trailhead is at at the end of Utah CR 224. Camping nearby. A good route description available at AllTrails - 27 miles, 4215' gain
