Magdalene Mountain
"Magdalene Mountain" Silver King Peak/Formerly UN 13,762. BiCentennail Summit: 13,762 ft. Mileage : 11.4mi. Elevation Gain: 3,785ft. Class 2+. Enjoy a nice view of the Pine Creek area and of Mt. Harvard to the east.
From the 4WD trailhead about 0.3 mile north of Clohesy Lake, walk south on the road, follow the lake fork drainage to The Pear Lake trail. The trail is faint in places but eventually leads you to the northern edge of Pear Lake. Contour around the lake to the eastern side and then south for less than a mile, at about the 12,200 foot level. Gradually angle upwards, through rubble, boulders and scree, to gain the ridge line or the saddle south west of Silver King Lake. (Silver King Lake not visible at this point). Continue upwards to gain the SUB PEAK, go east from there to gain the true summit.
