Oh-Be-Joyful Trail
Roughly 5 miles northwest of Crested Butte, access to Gunnison NF and Raggeds Wilderness, this a beautiful fall hike that ties into other trails.
The Oh-Be-Joyful Campground is managed by BLM. to the trail can require walking through the Slate River just past the campground. The trail first passes through the Gunnison Forest and eventually enters the Ragged Wilderness. Campground reservations available exclusively through Recreation.gov.
Note: The final stretch on BLM Road 3220 to the campground is steep, rough, and gravel. Low-clearance vehicles and larger RVs should scout the road before driving down.

All the way to Blue Lake #836 to #404 south, 14-15 miles, 2225' gain.
