Rampart Reservoir
Rampart Reservoir is located 4.2 miles east of Woodland Park on Rampart Range Road (Forest Service Road 300). While it is a year around location, the best trail conditions will be in late spring - early fall and the reservoir will have seasonal restrictions.

Rampart Reservoir Loop: Easy but long, 11.6 mile, loop around Rampart Reservoir. with 444 ft. of elevation gain. It is a lovely walk around the reservoir through pine forest, Aspens, and along small beach. 14.6 miles, 908' elevation gain.
$8 parking fee per vehicle, collected before crossing dam. Park on far side of dam - toilets available in parking area.
Rainbow Gulch Trail: The Rainbow Gulch Trail is a trail that begins just outside of Rampart Reservoir and proceeds to the Reservoir through wooded forests. When you reach the reservoir, you can return back to the trailhead or continue on the trail around the Reservoir for a great exhilarating ride or hike. 3.7 miles, 285' elevation gain.
There is no parking fee at this trailhead.
