Red Rocks Trail #708
Located just NW of Woodland Park, this trail is an easy walk through ponderosa pine forest to a scenic sandstone rock formation.
Besides the short hike to the Red Rocks formations, this area also provides access to several miles of other connected trails within the USFS boundaries.
Getting There: From Colorado Springs, travel west on US Highway 24 into the town of Woodland Park. At the intersection of Highways 24 and 67, turn north towards Deckers onto State Highway 67, and travel approximately 3 miles, watching for Forest Service Road 335 on your right. Look for the Red Rocks Group Campground sign. Turn right on Forest Service Road 335. Travel approximately 1/4 mile up road 335. Then, just past the entrance to the Red Rocks Campground, turn right at the "Y", onto road 335A. The parking area for the trail is just beyond the "Y", at a turnout on the right.
