Rock Creek Trailhead

This trailhead has summer and winter locations at either end of a dirt road. A gateway to the Gore Range Trail and the Eagles Nest Wilderness.

The upper or summer Rock Creek Trailhead is located approximately 10.5 miles north of I-70 Silverthorne exit.  (NOTE: on some maps it is shown as the North Rock Creek Trailhead.) Drive about 7.7 miles up Highway 9 and turn left onto Rock Creek Road.  After about .75 miles in turn left on CR 1350 and follow it to the end. The last 1.5 miles of driving is a dirt road that turns rougher and bumpy but doesn't require a high clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle.

The Lower or Winter Rock Creek Trailhead is at the intersection of Rock Creek Road and CR-1350, 19 Rock Creek Rd, Silverthorne, CO 80498. In the winter, use CR-1350, for snowshoeing.
